I was born in a village in Kurdistan so old it stood within sight of ancient Sassanid castles.
By the time I was a man, the British had drawn a line through my village and given it to another country.
No one asked.
No system — religious or political — ever asked what the people of my village genuinely needed.
After nearly 80 years of living under systems not built for me, I built one that serves every human being.

I want to tell you something personal.
Not as an author. Not as a founder.
As a human being who has spent nearly 80 years learning what it means to live within systems not designed to serve him.

I was born in a village in Kurdistan. A village so old it stood within sight of the castles of the Sassanid Empire.
When the Arab Islamic army swept through in the 7th century, my village was swept into a new reality. Not of its choosing.

Centuries passed. Safavid Dynasty. Ottoman Empire. Then the British.
After World War I, the British drew lines on maps. One of those lines cut through my village and placed it inside a new country called Iraq.
No one asked.

By 1974, I was a refugee in Iran. A man without a country.
In 1976, the United States allowed my family to immigrate.
America gave me safety and opportunity. But it did not adopt me. Not in the deepest sense.

After nearly 80 years on this Earth, I belong to no nation.
No political system claims me. No religious community defines my identity.
I am simply a human being.

A human being who belongs nowhere learns something those who belong somewhere cannot easily see:
National identity is a human construction. Religious identity is a human construction. Neither is the natural or inevitable expression of human belonging.

The fundamental need for belonging is not met by any national or religious identity.
It is met by one recognition:
Every human being is a full and equal member of the human family.

Not because it is perfect. Not because I have all the answers.

I have lived through war, displacement, refugee camps, immigration, and the long slow process of building a life in a country that was not my own.

إذا كان الانتماء يعتمد على أي جانب من أي خط وقعت قريتك فيه — فهذا ليس انتماءً.
إنه تعيين.
كل إنسان يستحق نظاماً يعترف به كعضو كامل ومتساوٍ في العائلة البشرية.
